Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to India after completing his tour to three nations namely China, Mongolia and South Korea. During his six-day visit between 14 May and 19 May 2025 as part of Act East Policy, he met leaders of the three nations.
According to the recent statistics obtained from the Department of Pharmaceuticals, it has been revealed that in the past four years India has imported 80-90% of essential drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients worth about Rs 38,186 from China.

According to IMF projections, India’s economic growth is expected to cross that of China by 2017. According to IMF India’s economy is expected to grow at the rate 6.5% in 2016-17, while the rate for China will be 6.3%.
After the statement from Japan’s foreign minister Fumio Kishida that Japan sees Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India, China condemned Japan by asking it to mind its own business instead of interfering in India-China relationship.
