Eminent Vedic scholar Dr.NR Varhadpande passed away

Eminent Scholar of Vedic period and Indologist NR Varhadpande passed away in Nagpur. He was 94.

Dr. Varhadpande was well-known for his book titled ‘Aryan Invasion: A Myth’ that exposed fallacy of the theory of Aryan invasion. It is regarded as one of the most profound works in Indian history that changed the perspective about ancient Indian history.

  • Dr.Varhadpande was a student of Psychology. He had worked as the Chief Psychologist with the Ministry of Defence.
  • He was the President of Sanskrit Bhasha Pracharini Sabha for many years.
  • He was the Founder Editor of the periodical Sanskrit Bhavitavyam.
  • He vigorously supported the concept of providing education in mother language and promotion of Sanskrit language.
