Punjab Govt bans controversial film – ‘MSG’
The Government of Punjab banned the controversial film MSG – Messenger of God, on account of the threat of violence.
This came in the wake of protest of the film by some Sikh groups which had also threatened to stop shows of the film.
What is ‘MSG – Messenger of God’?

- The film is produced under the Hakikat Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. banner and features Singh in the lead role
- According to the producers, the movie deals with youth-related issues like drug abuse, alcoholism, etc
- The film has seven songs and it will be released on January 16, 2025 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English
- The Indian censor board has currently denied the film a release certificate
