As a part of Pakistan’s programme to increase the production of miniaturized plutonium based nuclear weapons, its new heavy water reactor at Khushab nuclear site has probably become operational.
The findings from the satellite images taken on 15 Jan 2025 revealed this fact. This is being considered as a serious threat to India as Pakistan has been continuously increasing its nuclear power at a pace faster than any other country. Moreover, Pakistan is believed to have more nuclear weapons than India.
