Novak Djokovic won ATP tour finals for fourth time

The world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia won ATP tour finals 2015. He defeated Switzerland’s Rojer Federer in straight sets as 6-3, 6-4.

Andy Murray of Great Britain became world number 2 as Roger Federer gets defeated in ATP tour finals.

Djokovic’s victory with world record:

  • Novak Djokovic is first tennis player in history of ATP tour finals to win this title four times in a row.
  • By this Victory Djokovic has won this title for five times in total.
  • Rojer Federer has won this title for six times.
  • Pete Sampras (USA) and Ivan Lendl(USA) both have won the title for 5 times.

Rohan Bopanna of India finished as Runner up in men’s doubles

  • Eighth seeded Rohan Bopanna (India) and Romanian partner Florin Mergea finished as runner up in Men’s doubles of ATP tour finals.
  • They lost 4-6, 3-6 to second seeded team of Jean-Julien Roger and Horia Teacu.
  • This was the second time Rohan Bopanna was appearing in finale of ATP tour finals.
  • He had reached the finals with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi in 2012.

Performance of Djokovic in year 2015

  • Djokovic has won Australian open, Wimbledon open and American open grand slams (three out of four) except French Open, in year 2015.
  • Not only that but he has won a record six Masters Series crowns.
  • He ended the year with an 82-6 win loss record.

  • The ATP World Tour Finals is a professional men’s tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts.
  • Tournament is held annually in the month of November at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.
  • The ATP World Tour Finals are the season-ending championships of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
  • Top eight singles players and doubles teams of the ATP Rankings participate in tournament.
  • The tournament was first held in 1970.
  • Novak Djokovic in singles and Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in doubles were winners for the last year 2014.
