‘MargaritaMargarita, with a Straw’ directed by Shonali Bose of India in the fourth week of April 2015 won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the Washington DC International Film festival.

The film, before its release on 17 April 2025 made its world premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Later, it was screened at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, BFI London Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
