Maharashtra government buys the London house where Ambedkar once lived

Government of Maharashtra bought a house in London where Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar once lived. The house is on King Henry Road in London. It is the place where Ambedkar lived while studying at the London School of Economics.

The house was open for sale by its owner. When the government of Maharashtra was informed about this fact by a social worker and entrepreneur Kalpana Saroj, government quickly moved forward to buy the house.

The house will be converted into a museum and be kept open to all who wish to see it.
