Finland to replace cursive handwriting with keyboard typing in schools

In the schools of Finland, cursive handwriting is set to be replaced by keyboard typing. Finland’s education board said that the change will take effect in 2016.

However, this move has stirred debate over future of handwriting in classrooms. In September 2013, cursive handwriting was removed as a compulsory skill in US.
