Indo-UK bilateral Air Exercise Indradhanush between Indian Air Force (IAF) and British Royal Air Forces (RAF) concluded on 30 July 2015. The EX-Indradhanush started in Britain on 21 July 2015.
India and Singapore on 21 July 2015 signed Technical Agreement (TA) on sharing white-shipping information to enhance maritime cooperation between the two navies. The agreement was signed during the visit of Navy chief Admiral R K Dhowan to Singapore.
INS Astravahini, indigenously built ‘Torpedo launch and recovery vessel’ (TLRV), was on 16 July 2015 decommissioned after its 31 years service to the nation. The vessel had immensely contributed in the trials of indigenous torpedoes developed by ‘Naval Science and Technological Laboratory’ (NSTL).
As a part of expanding bilateral strategic partnership, India is set to acquire the massive ShinMaywa US-2i amphibious aircraft from Japan. The move which is being seen as important as both the nations are wary of China’s assertive behaviour in the Asia-Pacific region.
