Google-run video sharing portal YouTube and Whistling Woods International (WWI) (a film, communication and media arts institute owned by Subhash Ghai) have tied-up together to set up ‘YouTube Space’ in Mumbai.
YouTube Space will be a collaboration and production facility for YouTube video creators. It is scheduled to open in late 2015.
Aim of the Collaboration
- The YouTube Space Mumbai facility will allow YouTube creators and students at WWI to learn about video production and collaborate with other creators.
- YouTube and WWI will also develop original courses to train the next generation of Indian filmmakers to succeed in digital and online media.
About YouTube Space
- YouTube Space Mumbai is the seventh such facility for the YouTube.
- It has similar facilities in Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, New York, Brazil, and Berlin.
- The facilities are designed in a way so that the creators can produce original digital video content.
About Whistling Woods International
- Whistling Woods International (WWI) is a film, communication and media arts institute owned by Subhash Ghai, Bollywood director.
- It is promoted by Mukta Arts Limited.
- The primary campus of WWI is the Mumbai campus, which is located inside Mumbai’s film & television production hub Filmcity.
