US President Barack Obama has become the first President of US to have attended the republic day parade as a chief guest. After accepting invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Obama came on three day visit to India.

He has also become the first and only US President to visit India twice.
In his speech to Indian Obama said that India will succeed if it is not divided by religion.
