Egyptian warplanes bombed ISIS targets in Libya after the terrorist outfit released an online video of brutal beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on a Libyan beach.
The 21 victims were mostly young men from impoverished families. They had traveled to Libya for work and were kidnapped in two groups in December and January from the costal city of Sirte.
This was the first beheading by ISIS outside the territory it controls in Syria and Iraq.
The Egyptian military said that, “avenging Egyptian blood is a national imperative.”
