India imports 80-90% essential drugs from China

According to the recent statistics obtained from the Department of Pharmaceuticals, it has been revealed that in the past four years India has imported 80-90% of essential drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients worth about Rs 38,186 from China.

This is being considered as a warning for India which has been increasingly dependent on China for important drugs.
