Government to sell medicines under ‘Jan Aushadhi’ brand

Government has decided to sell medicines under its own brand name – ‘Jan Aushadhi’. The medicines under ‘Jan Aushadhi’ Brand name will be available at local chemists.

In the first phase, 504 medicines will be launched on 1st July 2015 and they will be made available at 800 chemists across Delhi. For this purpose government is going to procure medicines from private companies and then brand them under the name ‘Jan Aushadhi’. Government also aims to do quality control and branding of the medicines.
