Attack attempt on India foiled by Cost Guards

A suspicious Pakistani fishing boat was intercepted in Arabian Sea by Cost Guard patrol vessels in the early hours of 1st January.

In spite of warning to stop the boat accelerated. After 1-hour pursuit with warning shots the boat stopped and the four men on the boat hide in the lower deck.

Within few moments the boat blew itself up with a big explosion. The incident took place near the Indo-Pak maritime boundary, 365km from Porbandar.

According to the security officials this was another attempt of 26/11 type terror attack
